A number of people have been able to get them out by using a sacraficial allen wrench and JB Weld.

Sometimes if you strip it out you can go with a metric allen or even next larger american size which might be just big enough to allow you to tap it in wedging it enough to break the old bolt loose.Other than that might try drilling it out but be careful to drill the center. if successful clean very good don't want shavings in system. Good Luck

It's a 6mm hex (.236) so if you strip it out you might try a 1/4 inch allen wrench.

Okay once again another update.. I attatched a 6mm hex to my 1/4" socket wrench to get some more leverage and tugged and tugged finally a snap! I'm thinking finally yes! and turns out the bolt head stripped to hell I really hope this JB Weld stuff works..

wd40 wont help. the threads are past the o ring. Dont take this the wrong way but are you sure you are turning it the right way? is truck 2wd or 4wd? I know the dive shaft is in the way on 4wd. if yo can get the allen in and seated good and tight give it a sudden impact instead of a steady pull. That might breag it loose. Good luck

Be sure you get all of that WD40 off of the plug or it won't stick

if hole is stripped you might be able to hammer a torx bit into it then get your ratchet onto the torx bit. I have an OLD set of easy outs that my grandad gave me 30 years ago, they are shaped just like a torx and when you hammer them into an allen they work great.
