Don't you hate new guys and all their questions?
I have ANOTHER issue...actually, this one preceded the other problem but I thought I could handle it. Before I get flamed...yes, I searched. I took what I read to the three shops I've visited. My X quasi-violently shakes/vibrates/wobbles the steering wheel/dash from 45-70 mph under acceleration (only in 3rd and 4th gear). As soon as I come off the gas, it stops. I told all three shops to look at the u-joints...they did and only one said it could be that. One said it was the ball-joints, another (dealership) said it was the track bar bushing, and the last one said it needs a tune-up because the engine is missing. What do you guys think?

I'm with Stewart. Most lifts will even warn you of this problem happening. Check that or even maybe a weight came off the driveshaft. Heck ya never know. Stock EX's have a 2'' block in the rear I believe if it's larger than that it's been lifted, spring lift you should'nt have the problem.

I have bad shocks also and it would be a rough ride but i can see why it would shake violently due to that fact unless he is hitting rumble strips.....
It is unlikely the engine is causing that much shaking unless the motor mounts were loose,
It could be steering linkage if you are getting a lot of wandering all the sudden. track bar bushings once again i would doubt as the normal straight driving the track bar wouldnt be moving.....vibrations are caused by moving parts.....
Could be tossed a tire weight or 2?
I would have to agree with the ball joints and it is easily checked by you..
jack it up, pull outward on the lower part of the tire and push in on the upper part of the tire.....There should be no movement.....get someone to look at the ball joints.....you can see them move when you do this....if they move...they need replacing....
Is this truck new to you, or have you had it for a while and this problem gradually getting worse, or is it all the sudden.
