1973 Dodge Polara Custom Spring Special hardtop, a one town car from Lodi CA with 74,000 miles. Inspiration from John in my Cougar Club who showed up one day with a 1973 Polara Air Resource replica instead of his Eliminator.

Nice Mustang II Dan! is it a Ghia?
Maybe Bill (ND) knows if Ford still owns Ghia design house or not?
My favorate Ghia design was the Lincoln futura built in Italy for ford... some would know it as the Early Batman car
I own a standard cab 1965 F100 short bed.
A 66 F100 Custom Cab short bed.
and now a 1963 F250 Custom Cab long bed.
you can see them in my garage.

Maybe Bill (ND) knows if Ford still owns Ghia design house or not?
Or not...is the answer.
My favorate Ghia design was the 1955 Lincoln Futura built in Italy for Ford as a "dream car" for the 1955/56 autoshow circuit.
George Barris later acquired it. I remember seeing it sitting forlorn on the weedy parkway in front of his shop in North Hollywood rusting and fading away.
Then Hollywood came calling. Barris made a few changes (the major change: he removed the plexiglas canopy), did some paintwork, applied a bunch of gee-gaws...and Voila!
The Batmobile used in the mid 1960's TV show was born. Revell once offered a 1/25 scale model of the Lincoln Futura, before it became the Batmobile.

Ford then proceded to cheapen the heck out of Ghia, by applying Ghia badges to Granada's, Monarch's, Mustang II's and other assorted passenger cars...that were no more styled by Ghia than the Model T was.
Ford no longer owns Ghia, when they divested themselves of it, I dunno, but it was prolly in the late 1980's.

Delaware Chapter: Thread = How many Ford's have you owned?
I looked around yesterday, couldn't find this thread (it's several years old), but if y'all do, every FoMoCo vehicle I've owned (about 80) from 1956 thru 2007 is listed.
I'm not typing this list again, it took me several hours to type the original. So...add a coupla 2008 Ford's, and all the other makes of old rolling piles of misery I've owned (another 255 or so).

Bill:
Nope, it's just a basic 4 cyl, 4 speed manual, hardtop. I've been toying around with the idea of making a hard top convertible out of it, maybe with some old T-Bird latching hardware? I've seen pictures of some "original" rag-top conversions from a shop in Florida, and they looked great! I bet Ford would have sold a ton of them if they were done in the factory!
Yeah, this is a cool thread, funny what you can find when you're snooping around for radio info? I also liked the "who owned their Slick the longest", thread and the "let's stump NumberDummy" thread. I doubt it's possible, although, I stumped him on my pushbutton radio, for a bit, LOL.
