Tire and rims question??

Will tire size 285/75/r16's fit (not rub) on a stock 92 F350?

Also will 8 lug 16" rims off a 1997 F250 fit a 1992 F350 8 lug? Thanks

when the body styles changed is when ford went to 8 on a 170mm prior to that they were 8 on a 6.5 it comes out to like 5mm difference.

Check my garage for pics of my truck on the 285 75 16 on 16x7 rims. It was 1999 that Ford changed to the metric pattern.

I just put 285/75R16's on my truck and have no issues. When the body style changed in 1999, the wheel bolt pattern changed. I would still test fit a wheel, as I have run across 2 people who claim to have had a 97 and a 98 F-350(old body style) with the metric bolt pattern. It seems odd, but knowing the shenanigans ford has pulled in the past when changing things, it wouldn't surprise me.

There's no such thing as a '98 F350. Ford only made F150s and light duty F250s as '98 models. The light duty '98 F250s had the same body as the 97-03 F150s.

The Super Duty was introduced in '98 as a '99 model.

Fellas thanks for your replies. I purchased a set of used 285/75/r16s along with some 1997 stock aluminum rims, fit perfect and theres no rubbing on the springs anymore.
