skyjackers 4 inch kit can be ordered with the same heavy duty drop bracket as the 6 inch kit.
all i am trying to point out is do your research. when lifting a 250 the ttb drop bracket is a crucial part of the lift. take a long hard look at what the other companies are giving you for a drop bracket. its usally 2 seperate peices of thin stamped material that WILL crack and come apart on you.

didnt think you were, but just figured i would point that out. i am not trying to ram skyjacker down anyone's throat's. in my opinion its the best bang for the buck, excellent warrenty and tech support, fair price and superior quality. if you simply do some research and look at pictures of the different manufactures kit contents then it becomes obvious.

What is so special about the drop bracket? Is it made of thicker steel?
Lately I have been wondering when I do my solid axle conversion if I should get a drop bracket for the Trac-Bar. I will get a little lift since I am doing the RSK and SD springs but do not expect a full 4 inches. I think about 2-3 inches. Probably closer to 3".
I spoke with a shop that does suspension and since there is no drop bracket available unless you go 6" they recommended I lengthen the Trac-Bar. What do you guys think.
Sorry this is sort of a hijack, but it is along the same lines as the OP.

i am going to go with dropping the bracket would be better to help eliminate/prevent, bump steer or death wobble. simple lengthening the bar yet retaining the origonal location would alter teh geometry angle of the trac bar to steering linkage. it might not be enough to make a big difference but if i were lifting one i would want to keep the angles the same.
the drop bracket on the dana 50 from skyjacker is much thicker and a one piece, reinforced bracket. it is a heavy chunk of metal and a whole lot stronger then the "other" brackets on teh market. they are 2 seperate pieces of single walled box. there are several people on this site that have had them break under daily driver use.
