It is going to block both water and exhaust. Have you given up on trying to get this system to work properly for you? I am wondering how this will affect your inspection? Also by blocking the EGR you would be increasing the back pressure, so I would think that adding a wastegate would be a necessity. I believe that the EGR was a way to release pressure. Also, when you do a full delete you can remove the coolers, so you wont have to worry about them rotting away. Doing this will def clean up your engine, no doubt about that.

I haven't given up at all. Just thinking down the road when the need might arise to yank it off the engine due to problems.
An inspection station might be able to spot the missing DPF and cat, but I doubt they spot a missing EGR cooler... Last time I went the guy didn't even pop the hood since it was a diesel. I'm not even sure they would know what they were looking at.
Around here inspection stations are not always an automotive repair shop. The one I go to is also a propane refilling place. That's just how things are here I guess.
