Cold starting question with stage 1 injectors

Ive noticed that with my stage 1 injectors, that when its cold out, and I start the truck, I get lots more white/grey cold diesel engine smoke while warming up. I know there isnt anything wrong, but with stock injectors, I didnt get a lot of cold smoke during warmup.

Is this a by product of the Stage 1's? Smoke goes away after the engine is warmed up, but truck smokes more like my john deere tractors when they are cold than id did before the injector swap.

I noticed the same thing. Don't know if there is much that can be done to/with the injectors or tuning.
I just switched to synthetic oil at 245k miles on the truck. I saw immediate improvement on cold starts. Instead of the huff and chuff and smoke, it starts and idles like it's been warm, even with the oil at 57*, and there is a lot less smoke.

Same here. A little white smoke at startup that didn't used to be there.

It is a by product of single shot injectors, nothing to worry about.

Awesome, thanks guys. Went on a run to walgreens, got back in the truck, starter is dead, result of all the cranking before injectors, had to put a starter in, snowing, in the parking lot, god I love my truck.

Oh a good note, put the chip on 120 and hauled *** home truck runs soooooo good, egt pegged at 1250, boost at 26, stock turbo pissed, totally missed the speedo...........then on a bad note, cop took notice of me . he did dig my truck though, he loved diesels, told him about my mods, how this was the first time i really got on it since the shop, gave him my most pathetic look, said sorry, he laughed, let me go, got lucky. My day could have been one of those visa priceless commercials today.

Still hauled a** home too, what a great day, haha.

Its not a product of the single shot injector as much as the nozzle quality or size...

I had no smoke issues on start up with the smaller nozzles, but a bit more now...

Guess I need to be careful once I get me some singles....I did that running on a back road and a State Trooper took notice...he wasn't a fan of diesel trucks, but since I had no priors, he let me go...
