Have a 97 F-150 4.6 XLT and the cruise control switches are no longer illuminating. Does anyone or has anyone replaced the bulbs in those switches? I was able to get the switches out and piece them apart, but as I looked at the bulbs they are soldered in the back of the switch. This seems to me as one of Ford's worst ideas. Do you need to replace the whole cruise switch or has anyone replaced those bulbs? Thanks for the input & knowledge.

 

I remember replacing a set of switches for this years back.

 

well you have them apart so why not try and unsloder the old bulbs run to radio shack and match the bulbs, it will either work or you have to replace the switch right now you have to replace the swicth so I don't see where you have anything to lose
