Question exhaust louder

hellow to all i have a 79 f250 longbed with 400 single exhaust with glasspack it had bad welds on it my question is how to make it loud the glasspack was on the end of pipe just past cab so cut it off now just have the pipe but is not very loud should i add pipe and bring it out further to the back

it is running only pipe not all the way out and you want it louder?

yes louder i know it sounds silly u think thats about as loud as im gona get it i just rember i had a 302 same set up and that little burger was loud

Glasspacks
shorter=louder
longer=quieter
larger diameter=louder
smaller diameter=quieter
perforated core=louder
louvered core=quieter

no exhaust = really loud (and illegal)

Run dual glasspacks, heat em up and shove a water hose up the tail pipes.

ive got a 351. the pipes come together about 2 feet from the manifold and i have 2 feet of straight pipe. then nothing. its loud to say the least.

thanks 4the feedback on the making it louder will try a shorter glasspack and biger n diam
