H*ll must be freezing over!!
Quick!!! run outside and put your hand on the ground. Can you feel it? H*ll is freezing over. I know it must be because I actually found a 51/52 truck that had a beautiful grill.
Yep, thats right, you heard me correctly, I said I found a 51/52 truck that had a good looking grille. I was cruising over at the HAMB and found this;
Woohooo!

You apparently believe the stock '51 - '52 grills are ugly. For me, that is what gives those years their character. It certainly makes them easily identifiable. Beauty is a personal perspective and each individual will see things differently. How can you tell that the yellow pickup is a '51 or a '52?

Aw, these guys just get a little worked up now and then and feel the need to pick on the obviously better looking '51-'52's. Who could blame them for being a little jealous? I mean, we probably would do the same if we were the ones whose rides resembled a crack-addicted purple dinosaur.
As for how to tell that it's a '51-'52, look at the grille opening on the yellow truck vs. the green Barney-mobile above. The fenders on the '48-'50's tuck in under the headlights where the '51-'52's have a uniform width all the way across. Two other clues are the front valance and the hood. The hood on the yellow truck has the series of three louvers where the earlier trucks only had one long one. The holes in the front of the hood can tip off the year also, but the owner of that truck has completely filled them. The front valance on the earlier trucks was fairly narrow and was only the width of the grille where the later trucks had a full width valance. You start picking up on those details after you've spent some time looking at the two.

LOL
brit_wheels_fan, please don't take offense. Its meant as good natured ribbing and part of the long standing "discussion" we have around here about who has the purtier trucks, those of us with the beautiful 48-50 grills or those poor, wretched, unlucky individuals that are stuck with the 51/52 manure spreaders (again....just kidding)
Ross, Dang, it would take that gal 2 minutes to walk into a room (but it would be fun to watch)
Dawg, anyone can have a truck that is all one color......
