Knock sensor pulled out by shop for rebuild on 97 that finally hydrolocked #1 at 309,000 miles. Cannot find any torque spec for knock sensor in Haynes. Chilton's is duplicate of Haynes so not there either.

hi, torque setting is 15-20 Nm or 11-15 LB/FT and that is from the original ford manual, boy that took some finding. bokker.

 

Thanks Bokker. I think that is the same as some of the other sensors. Figures, but you know what happens when we assume....LOL Did not want to have that awful feeling when u realize u r twisting the thing off...not to mention they don't give those things away.
