Pondering a though about my newly deleted EGR Cooler
Being that the EGR cooler is out of the loop, would it now take the truck longer to get up to operating temp as the coolant in no longer coming in immediate contact with 400* exhaust gas? Just a thought.
I would say that overall warm-up time is dependant on the thermostat which controls volumes of collant vs. a little bit cycled through the EGR cooler (warmer)
My vote is faulty Thermostat...unless you think it is directly related to the EGR delete. Did the HVAC work fine before...of course it has been much colder than normal lately.

I don't actually have a problem, I was just thinking about possible effects on warmup time by deleting the EGR cooler.
Moyock! dude...are ya still celebrating New Years? I know at Ft Bragg we stopped Jan 1! LOL
I can see how you'd mistake it tho! I had the same thoughts as hndacr tho.
LOL...no we quit on the 1st here also....just thought he asked because he might have been having a problem...oh well...just tryin' to help. I haven't done the mod yet, but I don't think it would make that much difference in operating temps within the coolant, however, I was informed that the cleaner/cooler intake air will cause slightly higher combustion temps since it is no longer deluted by the dead exhaust gases.

I deleted mine fully.. Can't notice a difference.. If anything its better as I replaced my thermostat, oil cooler and did studs/head gaskets when I had the engine torn apart. Of course the thing I could attribute to it being better would be the thermostat.
