Sorry folks for the long delay on the update on this thread,
Finally managed to get some time off and head to my dealer to get her fixed.
I dropped off the truck on Thursday and just got it back today. The guys were great to find out what the problem was. The expy went in for an oil service, ac/heat seats not working and a new problem with the headlights not working.
The oil service was a no brainer
The headlights had a broken wire at the coupling.
As for the seat problem it turns out I had a faulty fuse block. the terminals in the fuse block were not seated properly as to give a good contact. The fan motors under the seats were checked out to be working properly. I was told that this is rare to have happened. At least in all my vehicle ownership it's a first.
Thanks all for everyone's input!

Bumping up an old thread:
Well as it turns out I have a recurring problem with my climate controlled seats. I'm out of warranty and want to attempt to get this fixed myself. The passenger seat works flawlessly with no complaints from my wife. The driver seat is a whole different issue.
So far this what I'm experiencing,
The indicators lights on the dash for the seat controls work fine.
Heat on drivers seat takes a long time to engage, but does not heat up as fast as my passenger seat.
The fan is really producing a noisy clicking sound on the drivers side. I'm guessing that I might need to replace the fan and solve my problems?
If so, how does one go about replacing the fan unit under the seat, does anyone have a good source on replacing these?
Thanks!

Happened again
This time to my newer 2007 Expy EL. Never fixed it on my prior 2007 Expy as it was totalled. Now it is out on my replacement one. Same exact issue. Both vehicles had it die at about 40K miles. My truck is at the dealer right now. The pigtail is melted onto the DCSM (Dual Climate Contorl Seat Module). So the module is bad and I need a new pigtaill with it. Estimate is approx $700 to fix. Might pass on it for now. I don't use the temperature on the seats. The problem is that the wife does. I am looking to see if I can buy the parts and install it myself.

Bump to an old thread.
Just picked up a 2007 Navigator L last night. Passenger side heat/cool works fine. Wife is reporting the driver side flashes and goes off - heat or cool. Of course I checked the passenger side while we were on a test drive and she was behind the wheel, but not the driver side...
Have yet to try the DCSM reset. Wondering if that has been successful for anyone or if it is typically a mechanical or electrical failure?

Pulling fuse 8 and waiting a bit looks like it worked for me. Both seats the heat or cool lights would come on for a second and then go off. They stay on now, though I haven't waited for the seats to heat up. The fuse in question is in the box under the hood, not the passenger cabin.
This was for a 2007 Expedition EB EL

Same issue with 2011 Expedition Heated and Cooled Seats on Driver and Passenger Sides
So I've read through all the comments. I'm having the same issue with my 2011 Expedition so it seems this may be a common issue for Ford vehicles. I'm going to take a look at the fuses later today and follow the recommendations. I would love to hear if anyone was able to resolve the issue without going to a dealership. I'm sure our vehicle's out of warranty which is normally the case when problems start happening. Thanks for the help!
