Welcome to FTE!

Be careful with that Edge and the lift. What size tires do you have? The Edge is known to be kind of rough on the trans. Bigger tires makes it worse.

He can't have a sig unless he ponies up to be a member or gets to 25 posts...

The trans is controlled by the PCM, and your PCM is controlled by the Edge now. The extra power can be very harmful to the transmission, unless steps are taken to help the trans out in tuning. Also, the larger tires will definitely stress it out, unless you re-gear for them.

The gears, first & foremost. Then look at getting CUSTOM tuning. Canned tunes from Edge won't make nearly the power you'll get from a custom tuner. Plus, they'll help with the trans. Next, look at a larger trans cooler, and a mod'ed accumulator valve body. If you're reasonably mechanically inclined, look at the TransGo kit. I absolutely LOVE mine, and it wasn't all that hard to do.

Oh, and if you're going to mod the VB, do it first, THEN get your custom tuning. The reason is that the tuner will take into account the new VB with the tunes. I got my tunes first, and have to have my chip reburned for the VB mods. Sucked. LOL
