need HELP with DIY high idle (potentiomer/switch)

im doing the high idle currently and im confused.
im using this page with cookies instructionshttps://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/2...-2002-psd.html

I have a 5k pot, without switch, im going to use a switch i have drilled in the dash currently (nothing hooked up to it)
so how do i wire the switch to the pot? it has 3 (hoops?) whitch do i put it in?
Also the resistors, how do i hook them to the pot? does the resistor go through a hoop?
sorry, if anyone has a picture of this or advice it would be very much appreciated.
thanks

The switch is really independent of the potentiometer. The switch is to connect the two sides of the idle validation switch, on the pedal assembly, to "fool" it into thinking your foot is on the pedal. Make sense? I didn't hook anything up to the park brake. I followed the same instructions as Scott. No relays involved, unless you want to activate it by the park brake switch.

C&P'd from the instructions: Using the 3M tap connectors, parallel the switch on the pot to the red wire with yellow stripe and the red wire with green stripe. It doesn't matter which terminal on the switch goes to which wire. It's only a switch. By the way, this is called the TVS, throttle validation switch.
Connect your switch here by running wires to these two wires to complete the circuit.
Now, using the 3M connectors again, tap into the grey wire with the white stripe and hook it to the center connector of the potentiomer.
With another 3M connector, hook the brown wire with a white stripe to one end of a resistor. Hook the other end of the resistor to the left side of the potentiomer, looking from the shaft side. This is called the TPS Throttle Position Sensor.

Correct. The instructions also mention what will happen if the wires are hooked to the wrong ends of the pot.
Got the wires figured out?

I have no idea as to your question, but wouldn't it be easier to just have a high idle tune placed on your DP Tuner?

havent figured wires out yet, think i may have found a post with a diffrent year, so may be able to find wires.
i had ordered my dp tuner with 1200 high idle and no start, for some reason it never came with it... i dont want to send it back as it is expensive to ship across the border. but i'll have sometime.
