block heater location

hey guys, i have a 1997 psd cali-ed i was wondering where is the block heater located? any help or pics will be greatly appreciated.

Its location is just above the oil filter.
The end of the electrical plug is located below the drivers side battery. It is hard to find and may be tie wrapped and the electrical end may have a cover protecting it.

mine is in the oil cooler near to the oil filter connector and goes to there with a cable to the left front of the truck near to the radiator and core support.

The plug is camouflaged in plain sight so to speak. Look under the bumper looking up into the area of the battery. If the cord has never been used it will be wire tied in place to the sheet metal beside the radiator.

RÖENTGEEP, nice pics. i saw that area on my truck and all i saw was a plug with a 1/2 in socket recess. is this the only location? also how much are the heaters and the cord?

97s did have the option of not having a block heater.... but you could just take the plug out and put a replacement one in if that is the case.
