05' 6.0l Turbo ?

I have a 05' F250 FX4 CC. It has 48k on it and lately I have been noticing when I am driving it after I punch into the throttle once or twice the turbo will slow spool and the transmission seems to stay in 4th for a couple of seconds before going into OD. If I stop and shut it off everything seems to work o.k, but if I keep driving it, not shutting it off it spools slow. Hope someone can help. Thanks,Eric

These trucks are known for slow spool time. They tend to spool better if you roll into the throtle instead of just putting it to the floor. The other thing is you might want to look into cleaning the turbo. If you look in the tech folder and click on vgt turbo abc's there is a good post by bismic on how to clean it

Problem solved

Well I think I figured the reason my turbo was slow spooling after hard acceleration. I really didn't think about it, but about the same time this was happening the egr went south and I replaced it. That didn't help the slow spool though. Anyway I gutted my cat and put the straight pipe on it right before that, bingo. I had to do the vgt relearn process, that fixed the turbo slow spool. All is well now. Oh, I did get the new ford flash as of yesterday, I think it is going to be o.k.

Right on. Thanks for the help. Runs like a bat out hell. Later P.S. This truck came out of Austin.
