Who likes wide tires ??? Thinking about some 375/50/18's, need some opinions

Hey Guys...

I'm thinking about running some MT Radial ATZs, 375/50/18 = 33"x15"x18".

I'm got an 02 regular cab F250 with a 2.5" front leveling kit.

I know that a 33" will fit just fine but I'm worried about the width and clearance. Has anyone ran a tire this wide on close to stock suspension?

Can I get away with a 10" rim or should I absolutely go 12"?

What about Backspacing? I figure this will have to be pretty offset, 4"???

Thanks in advance for all

While I cant offer any advice for a stockish height truck, I LOVE the look of a wide tire. I run 36-15.50-20 MTZ on my truck and love the stance. I also run a very aggressive offset wheel so my tires stick out a good 4-6'' beyond fenders on a 10'' wide wheel. I have an 8'' lift and have the height to clear a taller tire, but would have to go to a narrower tire and that aint happenin' Lemme dig up a pic

check out my pics in my gallery, they aren't the tires you want but it will show you a set of mt classic II's 16x10, with 33x13.50x16's swamper ltb's. they only rub when i hit and turn really hard. very rarely. they measure 14".

I have a 4" lift on my 03 and my 36x14.50s rubbed pretty bad. They would hit the bumper and the leaf springs. I went to a 37x12.50 tire and all is good now. I loved the stance but the rubbing was too much for me.

What size wheel? and offset was the 36's. i think next spring i'm leveling out the front and throwing a set of 36" boggers on. they tend to last longer than the ltb's that i have on her now.

It was a 16.5" wheel. I am not 100% sure of the offset but I know it through them out there quite a bit. I still have them. Less than 200 miles on them if you are interested.

Here is 33/12.50/16.5s on a 9.75 wheel. The truck has x code springs and the tires rub the inner fenders under a full lock and hitting a small bump http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/i...5d75125c8c.jpg

Thanks for the responses guys. The pics are great but I guess no one is running a 15 or 15.5" tire.

What backspacing are you guys running right now? Please state your wheel and tire size as well.

Question to those of you with the knowledge... Will a 15.5" wide tire on a 10" wide rim with 4"BS clear from side to side?

i think you'ld be fine with a 10", 12" would be better but a lot harder on wheel bearings. and my offset is i think 3" positive. my tires are 13.5's. my wheels are 16x10.

NO. in the pic i posted the truck was only running a 12.5 tire on a 9.75 wheel w 4.5" back spacing and it rubbed. So a 3" wider tire and a 1/4 wider rim will MOST DEFINATLY RUB HARD
