You know you drive an Excursion when you pull in to a parking ramp and get out to check that you have enough room above the roof before you go any farther.

 

When you pull up next to a riceburner with the window open and the boom box blaring, punch 80 econ on your DP Tuner and rap up that 7.3L PSD and four inch pipe next to his window and all of a sudden all you can hear is "cough,cough" ..

Or,when you hear the cute little soccer mom in the suburban next to you say,"dear,his is bigger than yours."

Actually,I like Suburbans,but the my "EX" has a bit more endurance,uses less fuel per mile and more interior room..

 

When you go on a trek across NC to visit family at way too many locations - 4 people + luggage + christmas gifts + big cooler and you still have room when you stop at the hardware store to buy that hydraulic press. Even the guy at the store just kinda stared....

 

You know you drive an Excursion When:

You keep looking out your bedroom window at it to make sure its safe

When 2008 F350 Duallies look at yours and put there thumb up and smile

When you know any travel trailer you put behind can be towed

When you would rather get 10 mpg then get 35 in a prius

When your boss tells you wow this thing is huge

 

You know you drive an Excursion When:

You think wow ford was so stupid not to keep making this beast

When people call it an urban assault vehicle and it makes you proud

When people say "I want your truck"

 

when your friends call you to come pull them out of the ditch instead of the tow truck.

 

I assume there is a true story behind this ? Please tell. I have actually seen this done with super-duty tow trucks in the NC mountains during snow storms. I don't know how they did it, but they did.

 

When you pull up at Baby USA to pick up a full size crib and a full size dresser and the guy says what are you driving... He looks out and sees the X and smiles, No problem.

 

When you have to use a loudspeaker to speak to your rear seated passengers

 

You jump in your wifes' 08 Expy EL and think your in a car.......

You jump in your Dads' F150 and it feels like a Ranger..........

You put your sisters' 3 kids and your 3 kids in the X, and no one complains about being "too close to me"............(4 Hour Trip)

You can pull into a rest area with your 21 foot Bass Boat in tow, and pull into the Semi Parking and not get stared at.............

Got to love it.....

Ahhh, you stole mine! LOL I was just going to say when you pull up to a parking garage and stop at the entrance to check for clearance issues.

I usually go really slow through the garages, windows down, and looking up at the roof to make sure I don't smack the top and people just watch in amazement!

Seven of your co-workers look at you to drive when it is time to go to lunch... and then they want you to put a DVD on.

You then look back and they are all comfortable.
