Mine's been fine since the CAC was changed. It's done it once or twice since but not like clockwork on the humid / rainy days. I haven't noticed any performance dropoff either. Actually mine's been getting good MPG lately...

 

Hi John, what did your 7.3 die of? I didn't think they could be killed.

 

Don't know. I parked it after I got my 08. I would drive it on the weekends and it would be OK. It always ran rough when cold. Needs injectors or possibly an HPOP.

It's sat for about a month and will not fire up. It'll roll over fine with hot batteries, but just doesn't want to light.

Now that I have another truck to drive I'll probably put the injectors in it myself. After that I'll either sell it or maybe drive it again for work when I go in the field.... I'd like to keep my new (to me) truck in like new condition...

 

had mine changed out in May or so and the problem is better. Before i could drive in real humid or raining conditions and in 30 min it would sputter and smoke like crazy. Now i go twice as long and its about the same or even a little better. So overall its better but problem still persist.
