1995 F-350 Still won't start?
Hi guys,
THis is my problem I just replaced my fuel pump since I had no diesel in my fuel housing it was almost bone dry. Still won't start it cranks great but won't start. I check the fuel housing and still no diesel in there? I also notice that my tach wasn't reading anything when I was cranking the engine as well no rpms. Don't know if that means anything? But can use some help.

If you replaced the fuel pump and are 100% certain that you didn't drop the plunger during install, I would look to the selector valve on the frame. It could be hung in limbo not letting fuel pass, or something could be blocking it. You can remove the fuel line from the hard line at the block (down low below the powersteering pump) and apply air to which ever tank is selected. You should get fuel then. If you do, it may be a bad pump. But definately look at the selector valve.
For a no tach reading, first, if you batts are even half dead from cranking, your tach will do crazy stuff, as well as sometimes not read. But if the batts are fully charged and no tach, you need to change the cam position sensor. That should get you going.
