after replacing stalk, wipers randomly do not work

they seem to work for a few minutes, then nothing. the turn signal still works though. this is a recent development after I replaced my old stalk (which turns out was fine)

I'm not familiar with the term "stalk" as it applies to vehicles.

Would you elaborate, please?

Ahhh, I know it as the multi-function switch.

Thanks.

What was the reason for the original replacement?

Sorry, brake lights are tied in with the rear turn signals and I got the two reversed.

Have you tried putting the original one back in?

I have an extra one that I know works if it comes to that.....

Did you try pulling the front lamps out and looking at the sockets. Rain does a job on the contacts in there. A pencil eraser has just the right amount of abrasive to clean the contact points to make the lamp work again. The lamp contacts can be cleaned the same way.
