i liek the mt's better but they are a little noiser then the at's. its all about prefference. offroad the at's are useless and the mt's are unstoppable. i have done more then my fair share of extreme offroading and the mt's handle incredible.
i have not run the newest mud terrains that they have out, only the km's
got my KM1's for my F150 from a friend who had them on his Yota. he was switching to KM2's b/c a guy he knows kept running off and leaving him on the trails with the KM2's. i like the look of the KM1's a lot and i will run these on the F150 til they die, but i wanna switch them to KM2's b/c they are AWESOME off road. my buddy says they are a big improvement over the KM1's.

if your going to be plowing and what not and don't hit mud and stuff very often stick to the AT's like everyone else said. i run Pirelli Scorpion AT's and i don't have a complaint at all. i love them. much better traction than the tires i used to run and for an AT they surprisingly CHUNK some mud!!! haha. my truck is 2wd but i ran it through a stock tank that had a little water standing across a few times and didn't get stuck like a few of my buddies did then i had to pull them out. haha. also sprayed my F150 with mud one day in my pasture from a dead stop about 50 feet away. covered it with mud and i do mean covered!! couldn't see much white on it anymore. LoL.

hmm, i hated teh bfg at's. they clog up with mud and you have to have alot of tire speed to clean them out. i got stuck in wet grass with them, had to use 4wd to get out on many occasions. talk about embarrassing

The KM2s are nice and thick, and its not exactly a light truck up front. Even with my saggy bumper mod (j/k) the 265/75s are in no danger of rubbing. Expensive though.

yeah my pirelli ATs clog if you are barely spinning the tires in the mud. i can just chunk it in 3rd or 4th if i'm in mud that is clogging the tires and it will go then. i parked in some mud at a big event in town earlier this year and someone needed me to back up so i went to back up and it would barely back up. if i needed to go forward that would have been a different story b/c the tires would spin faster than 10mph. haha. long story short i look forward to wheeling with the F150 since those tires will obviously clean out and dig pretty well i'm sure.

I like the extra height of my 285's and 265's look really small on the Superdutys that I've seen with them... but those look pretty darn good on yours! I think I might get 265's next time I need tires. The 285's are a little wide for what I use it for and they rub when I'm steering sharp.

Well.... the way it sounds is Im gonna have to go w/a mud tire-I had swampers on my Jeep. The noise didnt bother me, & they did fine in the snow. I might get the BF mudterrains... maybe... maybe not. Im in no rush-I have til the end of the month, my inspection runs out.

I guess I want the best of both worlds-lots of siping plus chunky lugs.

I have had good experiences with BFG M/Ts and Cooper Discoverer STTs.

current tire: BFG M/Ts 305/70R16

I am going to return to the copper STTs after my current crop of BFG M/Ts wear out

I think the disco stt's have a bit more road roar, and have a channel down the middle, but the km2s at least have more siping.

I have been running BFG All Terrains 12 years in the central NM mountains. (95 F350 CC 4x4) Got to replace them in short order here. I am definitely getting BFG All Terrains new K02s. I looked up this thread to decide size and will go 285 75 16.

Bob, That's a very nice looking truck! The 285's will fill out those fender wells.

It should be all I need. the snow and mud up here is fairly tough but the truck walks through it with these tires. The up size will be just enough I think.
It also has to run highway/freeway and last. I read that the Goodyears dont last as long.

Glad I have the forum to be sure on fit.
