what model truck is this from?

can anyone tell me what model this front end is from, and how to go about getting it for my f150, or do I need to go a different route to accomplish it?

no you just need the grill and front fenders from a f700. Not sure what you have to do to get it to bolt up but i'd guess it would.

That truck belongs to 78_f800crewcab4x4! He's around all the time, hopefully he'll see this and chime in. It can be assumed it's the front end from a '78 Super Duty truck. As for putting one on your F150, it can probably be done if you have the fabrication skills, but I have high doubts that it's very easy. The frames and most measurements would be completely different, I've never seen anyone put those fenders/grill to a light duty truck before.

F-600 and up. The hood is different too. See the lip in the front so you can open it? Yes, he's a member here. That truck is cool. It's more than just a bolt on deal. Doable, but not simple. The biggest thing you need is ground clearance. That front end is TALL.

If you are really interested I can give you step-by step instructions. All info, whatever. front end is from a Ford f500-f7000 73-79

There are a lot of things to modify, and several routes to take. I could write 3 paragraphs on this, but I think I need to know what you want your final result to be.

there are two ways to do this mod, the best way and the easy way.

I`m not planning on doing it to my current truck, so I`ll wait for shameless to tell you what he`s looking for. By the way, does your Super Bronco have 5 ton rocks?

well, I was more curious how hard it was to do it, if it was just modifying the cab mounts and radiator support, or if it was a lot more to it than that, I'm assuming the latter?

essentially, its just modifying the mounts for the body, and a custom mount for the bigger core support. Front clip will bolt on to the cab and look factory, except for some inner fender trimming which I did, and if you have a/c you will need to trim more of the inner fender so it clears the big box on the firewall. I have custom mounts which locate the cabin exactly 6 inches higher, allowing for clearance of the grille and core support at the front of the frame. I suppose you could just lop off the front frame horns and make a drop in the frame to accommodate the difference, but I also needed clearance underneath the whole body for the Rockwell t case, custom fuel tank, and for a dozen other reasons including the ducting for the factory air scoop and possible future installation of a really big diesel.
