Stereo Removal from 2006 F250
I want to remove my stereo from my truck and I keep finding info regarding the U shaped removal tools for Ford factory stereos but I don't have any holes in my stereo. Is there another way to take out the stereo without ripping apart the dash?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to FTE Peter! This process isn't too complicated but you'll have to remove the dash. In the '05+ trucks, the stereo removal doesn't include the u-shaped tool like in previous years. Here's a link to the process:

I've done this in my truck and it is very straight forward and relatively simple. Just follow the instructions in the link. FWIW, this is also in the tech folder at the top of the SD forum.
A couple of tips:
1) When you get ready to remove the dash, if you have an automatic, place the shifter all the way down in the "1" position. Make sure to set the parking brake and tilt the steering wheel all the way down. This will be necessary to get the dash out.
2) If I remember correctly, you'll need a 7mm nut driver or socket to remove the stereo bolts.
3) Just start pulling the dash out at the left side of the dash and move across from there.
4) You will have to unplug the various harnesses as you go which is the most difficult part, or it was for me since I have large hands.
5) After you're done, just reverse the removal process to reinstall it.
It's not complicated....just be patient. Hope this helps.
