I don't , so I don't know what's my excuse. I've been doing mechanic work for over 25 yrs on my friend's personal and company trucks. I worked on so many different things, over the years, that I sometimes forget what I did and which one. Heck, I sometimes forget what I did 30 seconds ago.

Jcrammel, Did you cut the wire and tape it? Or did you just remove the clip from the ignition cylinder and tuck the wire and clip back under the column. Might be grounding out on the column if so.

I removed the clip and put electrical tape over the clip. Will check again tonight just to make sure that it is still taped.
