Believeing that the scanner would be able to easily determine the transmission concerns i purchased a new odb1 scanner.the check engine light was constantly on.now with the scanner plugged in there isn't any flashing light on the scanner, just like the constant check engine light.is there any reason for this?
Have you got both the EEC test connector and STI wire attached to the scanner?
You could try the DIY method, put a jumper between the STI and Sig-Rtn lines and turn the key to run, the codes should flash on the check engine lights.
yes this is connected correctly and able to increase timing in test mode. Also useing a wire from the self test connector to the battery light on dash stays on also.
just got the codes, thought i was playing bingo so many #'s:51,22,53,54,35,67,82,85.I better post another thread for thisProblem is truck shifts hard and vibrates, thought the t/c would surely be in one of the codes.
