2004 fx4 losing transmission fluid

2004 fx4 losing tranmission fluid. I checked for leaks and found none. I followed owners manual when checking fluid on dip stick. Run truck 20 miles , on level surface , with motor running. I have replaced fluid with one quart and half and I still found no visual of fuild on stick. I check the transfer case , it seems over full , I drain out about a pint from it. Could transmission fluid be leaking into the transfer case?

Thanks Rockyray1

Welcome to FTE!!

I'm sure someone knows for sure if the fliud can enter the transfer case or not. but. IMO, I don't think it can. i would keep adding fluid to the trans until the level is correct. running with a low level of fluid is very bad on the 4w75E trans. The heat buildup shortens it's life quickly. And, i thought the trans case took different fluid?

Fluid is going into the transfer case. I had the same thing happen with mine. 04 4x4 XLT Replace the seal between transmission and TC and all will be good.

The cost was $150-$200. I don't remember exactly. It has been a little while since I had this done. I can pull my ticket and give you the exact price if needed.
