should be a 2v

the 3v 4.6 never came out till this new 2009 F150 showed up.

the 5.4 had the 3v design but the 4.6 never had it in 2005

Yup, the 4.6 3V came out in the Mustang in 2005, expanded to the Explorer in 2006, and to the F150 in 2009.

The F150 is the only vehicle that offers both the 2V and 3V; there you could tell very easily by the transmission, which is a 4 speed with the 2V and 6 speed with the 3V.

I'm interested in purchasing this Roush cold air intake kit but at the bottom it states that it's for the 3V engine???

Dose anyone know if it will work on a 2V engine or of another system that dose???

The page you refer to says "does NOT fit 2V engine" so I think that's your answer. Except there was no 3V in the 04-06 F150's so there is probably a mistake somewhere. Except the Roush page has the same text:

http://store.roushperformance.com/detail.aspx?ID=776

You could call Roush and ask them, I'm guessing...

Good luck,
George

Good idea!!! I just wasn't sure about the 2V/3V thing because of that statement...
