I am looking at a '99 F250LD. I am trying to figure the axle ratio. The code on the door sticker is Axle 8 Ratio B6 What does that translate to? Thanks.

If you are unsure of the code, or to check to make sure look at the diff. cover. there will be a tag attached to one of the bolts. it will tell you if it's still readable.

the 250LD had 10.25" rear ends where the f150's had 9.75".

 

Thanks guys. I see by the transmission code that there is a 4R100hd trans. Is that what the 250LD had? From other posts I have seen in the past it was different from the normal F150.

 

Depending on the date of production, it would have either the E4OD or the 4R100 as the 4R100 was a mid-year change .

What is the TRANS code on your doorplate?
