WIDE 8 lug wheels,,dont know where to find them

im looking to upgrade the wheels and tires on my truck.. i would like to run some really wide 39.5 or 40"ground hawgs.... from what it looks like i either need 16.5 wheels but cant seem to find some nice looking wide wheels... or reallly any wide wheels other then white spoke.. i would prefer some nice weld wheels or mickey thompson's maybe... i looked on the internet but havent had much luck...
if at all possible i would like some DEAP dish wheels....as you can tell im looking for that wide stance with close to half the tire sticking out of the fender wells...

Not sure where you are looking but there are several wheels that are 12 inches wide or wider.
You sure you want to run a 15.6" wheel? Why not a 16" or 17" wheel?
You will have far more wheel choices.

M/T does make a 16.5" wheel that is 12 inches wide, and 40" tires do stick out quite a bit.

You can even run a 15" wheel (my orange truck has them) and these require some offset that moves the tire and wheel further out than the police would like.

All 1953/96 F250's use 8 lug wheels with a 6.50" bolt circle.

1967/96 F350's are the same. 1953/66 F350's use 6 lug wheels with a 7.25" bolt circle.

i have eagle alloy 589s i think on my truck, look just like the mt classic2. 16x10, the widest they had. i rode all the way to wheeling to national tire and wheel and got talked out of 40inch hawgs and into 36 inch tsl radials, which i doubt the hawgs would have fit, and with the miles i do per year theyll last forever.

Those are M/T Classic wheels, and yes they are 12 inches wide and the poor things are 16.5's. That tire is 18 inches wide, and I will never do that again!!!!!! Hear that? Never will I spend money on 16.5" wheels.
The width had nothing to do with that. IN this case, the major factor is the darn bead. The 16.5" wheel is a pile of crap.

16.5's are fine for street/mild trail use but they have no place on a hardcore wheelin rig. nothings worse than day of fun being cut short do to a unexpected tire dismount! as for tire width vs. wheel width, try to keep a 4''/6'' minimum difference between tire & wheel widths. most if not all tires have a approved rim size

You've been doing this long enough that you should have known that YEARS ago. I'm a mere kid compared to you (mentality mainly ) and I could have told you that!

The 1st thing I do if I ever get 16.5s in the shop is set um outside for the scrap guy!

Yes sir you are very correct. Unfortunately, when I was building these two trucks (the two red ones) I had intentions of keeping those old school turbine wheels. Remeber those?

Well I bought tires to fit them and then when I sold the 75 I had this set of tires that needed to go somewhere. Tough to sell them so I bought wheels for them. Pops needed wheels and he ended up with beadlocks. Blah, blah, blah, it was a poor judgement and a poor decision on my part.

I forgot about that whole mess and keeping red as more of a "stock" looking truck.

Those turbines are definitely cool!

Speaking of keeping that "stock type look" - I totally forgot to tell you something about the fiberglass yesterday that might kill your plans for using it. Remind me next time we talk and I'll explain. It pretty much means you can't run your trim with it
