Winch mount or front reciever hitch questions
I want to add a winch to my F150 at some point and was looking online and the only mount I found was WARN's hidden winch mount. It is the perfect thing that is made well and exactly what I want but it costs $1400
Is there any less expensive (like a few hundred bucks) winch mounts out there?
The other thing I was thinking is adding a front receiver hitch, which may be a better idea because I can get more use out of the hitch and I could get a hitch-mounted winch plate that is a lot cheaper and I could move it from the front to back of the truck as needed and leave it inside & away from the elements when not needed.
Does anyone have a front hitch on their truck?? I would like to see some pictures of the front hitch on 04+ F150s! thanks

There are several brush guards out there that have a winch plate option. Some are modular in design starting you off with just the main center section & letting you add pieces like the headlight guards later on.
Going with front & rear receiver hitches is a possible solution. If you go this route, consider running power cables to both the front & rear, and use something like Warn's Quick Connects for easy power connections.
If you go with a front receiver hitch, do your research, as they are not all created equal. Some manufacturers will provide a line/pull rating which is more applicable than a tongue weight rating. Needless to say, you will want the highest rating that you can find.
