Timing belt on '89 2.3, alignment marks question

Does the auxillary shaft align with anything? I think it just drives the oil pump, is that correct? If so then am I safe to assume there is no alignment on that sprocket? It looks like the cam sprocket and with a timing point. I'm putting together another 2.3 for my Ranger and while the old timing belt was off I put my hand on the aux. shaft sprocket when I bent down and turned the sprocket. Just making sure I don't have to align it. I didn't see anything in my Haynes manual.

Thanks,
