wire diagram

Got Ranger and SportTrac diagrams
Here's the '95 pinout. The difference is the '96 has a Brake Fluid Level/RABS input (pin 11) and no theft light (pin 5) while the '95 has no Level/RABS input (pin 11) and has a theft light (pin 5). I do not know if that would be causing the issue with the battery light.
I would try pulling pin 11 out of the plug and taping it up. Looking at the instrument cluster diagrams, it shouldn't affect the RABS. It's only to indicate that you have low brake fluid levels. You still have an active Antilock Brake light.
Pin 5 isn't an issue because you don't have a wire in that pin location and don't need it for the '96.

I switched out/upgraded my cluster for one with a tach but I need to figure out how to get the new tach grounded as the 95 4cyl doesn't have the proper grounding cable.
Thanks!

Where did you guys get these excellent wire diagrams? I am putting a 1994 dash into a 1991 truck, so that the newer 1995 E4OD transmission will shift and the speedometer will work.
We picked up the dash at pick a part yesterday, I am wondering if anyone has a diagram for the HUGE plug (30ish wires) that goes through the firewall, my 1991 truck has a round plug, and the 1994 dash uses a rectangle plug, I am planning to rewire the 1994 dash to my 1991 round firewall plug.
here is a thread about the project: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...eedometer.html
I dont even necessarily need a diagram that shows the routing of wires etc, just a picture of the plugs at the firewall with a pinout list with colors and what they go to would work, would need to get one for the 89-91 and one for the 92-96 so that I can wire the 94 dash up to the round 91 firewall plug.
