thanks all for the compliments!

Heres some more of what happened when the body was removed and susequently re-installed.

If anyone has any questions on how these trucks are put together, I probably have the answer! I have had almost everything apart except for the drivetrain. It has been an incredible process.

One thing is for sure, I know everything about my truck... intimately!

Installed a wicked wheel and a 1.0 A/R housing

Installed RiffRaff FRX

1.0 A/R turbo housiung and Bellowed up-pipes installed. Also you can see the 4" SS down pipe from the Magnaflow exhaust I installed as well. I also deleted the EBPV and the AIH. (this was all so easy with the body off!!!)

Engine together before putting the body on...

Body being lowered into place. (this was a 2000 EX body form a V-8 Gas 2WD). I ran into many wiring issuse between the two model-years. uuuugh...

ALL THE WAY DOWN ON THE MOUNTS...

Checking clearance at the turbo wastegate actuator. I used the clip from the EBPV instead of the tiny circlip. The 1.0 housing had a bigger pin and the EBPV clip worked perfectly.

rolled off the lift (not driveable yet). Miles of wires & hoses to connect up at this point...

More later on the interior work and the suspension lift...

FIRST UP ON THE INTERIOR: I added mounting holes/nuts for the 2nd row bucket seats. This body was from a 2000 m/y so the buckets were not available then and therfore no mounting holes. My 2002 diesel Limited interior had buckets that I planned on using.

More on this issue here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...l-it-work.html

pics just show the holes being marked. I then drilled holes and welded nuts underneath. (actually did this before this body came off of the 2000 2wd chassis.

Thanks! Still a work in progress (aren't they all). Has been road-proven at this point too, drove it from Colorado to California and back with no issues. That was a good feeling!

Impressive

That really is amazing! I have been thinking of removing the body on my 2003 6.0. I am a newby to the site but not to this kind of work. I am a marine mechanic with well over 30 years experience. What do I need to do to accomplish this? Thanks-Rich

I don't feel so bad about my 00 and the minor issues... That looks like a ton of work!

But the results look GREAT!
