lol.... Well to give a vague answer, after '56 the fenders and bull nose hood where lost to a more modern looking truck design. Google images is a great place to get an idea of the differences

Most like the 56, but I'm a little partial to the 57-60 myself. 56 seems to be a lot more desirable. Have fu fixing up that family hand down and enjoy it.
