Buying HIDs - 2001 or 2005??
I am about to pull the trigger a set of HID conversion. I have a 2001, but 2005/07 lights (not installed yet). My question: order the HID kit for '01 or '05?

Order the kit for the new lamps and you will also need either new harness connector or adaptor harness's

You may be able to get bulbs for the 2005 lights and the adaptors for the 2001 truck.
