You should be able to take the transmission cover off and have access to the top of the tranny to bolt on the bracket & shifter

I've got a C4 lokar shifter - it was very easy to install and my tranmission is fairly close to the transmission cover. I've got a gaiter/boot that covers the base of it with a billet ringto keep it looking good.

Dont know what shifter you have, I have the 23" nostalga shifter, for the c-6. You will have to make mods to you're trans cover for this kit.

You'll need to cut a hole in the appropriate place. I had to fully repair my transmission cover anyway as it was full of holes and missing a big chunk. I made up & welded in a complete new section then cut the hole to suit (once the lokar shifter was installed in the right place and i was happy with its position).

I don't have any photos just yet as not uploaded them to my website but will get some loaded on soon.

My mounting bracket hit the bottom of the cover. You may have to do some hammer and bag work to make the necessary adjustments. The mount sits high on the trans. My plans are to fab up a tunnel just to make sure I have the clearance. Its always something with after market. Welcome to the "Dark Side".
