Can you verify that the ignition advances past the base setting once the spout plug is put back in? If it does you'll see it with the timing light.

You don't need any tools to pull the codes, simply ground the STI wire in the EEC test harness, turn the key to run, and count the flashes on the check engine light.

timing does advance when it is plugged back in and no codes are coming up the only other thing is that the truck is hard to start have to give it a bit of gas sometimes to get it started
