Farg! Not what I wanted to hear.....
Guess it's off to the dealership. That's not going to be covered under the engine warranty either. Double Farg!!!
OK, I just talked to Jeremy, an SA, at Ken Grody Ford and I'm bringing it in tomorrow morning at 7:00 AM. He said if it's the FICM then it's covered under the engine warranty. If it's not the FICM or more than that..... we'll see.
I replaced the batteries in late 2007 so they should be good. Guess it's just one of those things. At least it didn't leave me stranded. Never has though.

Kep4....literally through the same 8 codes today along with p0611 (FICM failure) and get this P0299. Which I assumed P0299 was textbook classic (Turbo replacement)? Anyone else know what the service tech at my dealership should do with p0299...he doesn't?
P0299C* Turbo / Super Charger Underboost Fault sets when the difference between EP and
commanded EP exceeds the limit for > 30 seconds. Faulty EP sensor, VGT control valve slow to respond, Stuck VGT
valve, faulty PCM.
Clean the EP tube and turbo for starters.
I hit him with rep Kep.

Turned out to be the FICM, at least that's what the Ford Hotline authorized them to replace. It will be ready to go tomorrow afternoon. They actually covered the rental car for me which was nice.
I hope replacing the FICM helps either the fuel mileage or the lag off the line. I shall see and report back.

My 'CRS' disease has affected me so that I can't recall, Steve! I'll call them in the morning, or stop by, and ask them about that. I don't recall if it was flashed when Tuttle-Click had it last October.
On another note, I've been pleased with the people, their knowledge, and communication from Ken Grody Service and if the repair goes well then I'd take it to them again for service.
They were also very good to deal with when I turned in my leased Ford last May.
