04 to 05 grill?

Will a full replacement bar style grill for a 1999 to 2004 super duty, fit a 2005 super duty?

It will be an inch or two short. The 05+ grille is taller and the bumper sits lower. Unless you want to change the bumper, I would stick with the 05-7 grilles.

Is this something you want to do or need to do? I prefer the 05 grill looks...

It's just for looks, there aren't any noticeable performance gains in it. It boils down to personal preference.
