Trying unsuccessfully to edit my sig- help Mods?

  1. Your signature contains too many lines and must be shortened. You may only have up to 6 line(s). Long text may have been implicitly wrapped, causing it to be counted as multiple lines. <!-- END TEMPLATE: newpost_errormessage --><!-- BEGIN TEMPLATE: newpost_errormessage -->
  2. BB code size value is too big.
All I am trying to do is edit my mileage so why is this coming up when I already have an established sig? I'm only trying to change 1 number. I have also tried to shorten it, erased almost all of it and it still gives me the BB code too big. So what do I need to do? What am I doing wrong? TIA- Tim

3 is the largest size allowed under the new signature rules. I don't know about the other.

Thanks Steve. Maybe I'll just leave it alone.

Adrian (IB Adrian) helped me with this same issue last year.

I don't recall the exact fix but, I had to scroll to the bottom of the main page or in User CP and change the type of coding used on the page. Then I had to delete a bunch of useless code in my Sig line that made the program think my Sig was too large.

Wish I could be more specific. I placed a Help Ticket to get it resolved.

OK, go to Edit Options in User CP and scrool all the way to the bottom of the page until you see this:
Message Editor InterfaceWhen posting messages to the forums or other members, there are three interface types available to you. The simplest of these is a simple text box, while the last is a fully-fledged WYSIWYG editor, which allows you to format your text as you want it and see the results immediately.

Depending upon the capabilities of your web browser, you may not be able to use all of these options. If you experience problems when posting messages, try switching to a different interface type.
Basic Editor - A simple text box Standard Editor - Extra formatting controls Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing Message Editor Interface:

Change it to the 'Basic Editor' setting and then edit your sig. You should see a bunch of code that needs to be deleted. After that switch back to Full WYSIWYG.

Hope this helps!

I had the same issue, so I'll have to try that technique. I did notice, however, that there are some guys with like 11 lines in their sigs. Some are supporteers and some are not, so that isn't the reason. So, what's up with that? Anyone know the deal on that?

I had alot of text with the different colors that I was using. I deleted all that crap, along with my " Go Flyers" as they have disappointed me yet again. It almost sucks to be a Philly sports fan ( with the exception of those Fightin' Phils!) I'm pretty sure you jinxed us, Brad, with that "Go Pens" stuff, LOL!

HA! Too bad they can't seem to pull it together against the Caps now.

Me? Starting a little trouble? Nah! It would be a shame if the Caps swept 'em. Now what happened to all the icons? I have no stinking icons! AAAARRRRGGHHHHH!!!! And I shot him some rep for the help.
