Quick question. I have done a basic search on the internet for ignition coils for my 04 f150 XLT 5.4L and I keep coming up with Motorcraft DG511. The coils in my truck say EE03A. I've recently purchased this truck and was thinking maybe the previous owner didn't put the right coils in it. About two months after I got it home it started jumping and kicking around. I changed the fuel filter and it still does it. hooked it up to a code reader and it didn't have any codes until I got mad at it and punched it check engine light came on (Then I said I was sorry) and it blinked at me for a minute then went off. Got a misfire on cylinder #5. I am looking to change out the coils should I get the DG511 or look for EE03A

 

Production parts and replacement parts don't always have the same markings or numbers. When a part has an improvement or a change of some sort the part number changes. If it says the DG511 is for your application get it.

 

I talked to someone about it the other day who said pretty much the same thing so I ordered some the other day from ebay. Heard good reviews about uneeksupply. Can't wait to change them out. Just for good measure I'm changing the plugs out to. Hopefully it will fix the problem.

3L3Z12029BA (DG511) is the correct part number for your truck.
