Woah!! 81 Flareside F100 $750

I was looking around on Craigslist and found this '81 F100 for 750 bucks! It definitely needs some TLC, but overall it looks great with lots of potential. No major rust on the body. Love the Flaresides! If I could justifying buying it, I would, but I just cannot financially do that right now. Someone buy this truck so he doesn't part it out or destroy it.

I like it!!!! It would be a fun project. Throw a 351 in there, drop it, set it up like a lightning. I would love to have that truck. Someone will buy it up soon.

I need to stop checking CL, it's getting too depressing if you dont have the money. Yesterday I missed a 1988 F-250 SC 4x4 that was going for $400. Needed an ignition switch and a battery. Body was straight too.

I know!! Every time I look on CL I find something else that I just MUST have, but cannot really justify having with my income and all. I already have a Flareside truck. One day I want a 2WD slammed Flareside truck as well as my 4X4 Flareside, but right now it just wouldn't make much sense to have both. I want to buy a Harley... Now that I can justify doing. Maybe I should buy this truck, clean it up, tune it up, paint it, most importantly SAVE IT from being destroyed, and then sell it, and use the money to buy a Harley. What a great solution and logical compromise.

Damn it! You guys have to stop posting stuff like this!

If I didn't already have one, I'd be on that one like white on rice!

This sucks..... No money for another project at the moment.

That Craigslist comment is definately legit. I hate looking through the tools section too, sometimes the prices are too good to pass up and I end up buying stuff that I don't end up using very often. Great site though to pick up some fairly priced stuff.

Oh yeah, I love the barter section too!

My truck was in the barter section, the guy wanted to trade it for an xbox or a playstation 3. I ended up giving him $350 for it.

There are some really good deals on CL for sure. They are so hard to pass up. I might buy this truck, do some work on it, and re-sell it for a little profit.

Now is the time to buy all kinds of things if you have the cash. Everyone is selling misc stuff off for cheap! Keep it for a few years working on it and once the economy comes back around you'll def be able to make a little $ on it.

I think that look is going to be a classic in about 10 years or so.

I might be a cheapskate, but I'd try to see if he'll let it go for $600. That would def be a deal.

My friend once told me: "If you're not embarressed by your offer, you've offered too much".

I ALWAYS start low and work my way up. You'd be amazed by what flashing a couple Benjamins can do.

Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't.The guy who I bought my truck from wanted 400 for it.I tried to get him to take 300,since it didn't run, even flashed the 300 bucks in hand.He still wouldn't budge. So I just paid the 400.Kid didn't know what he had.Even though the truck needs a rebuild of almost everything,I could still part it out for more than what I got in it total.
