will alpine head unit work

i have two 10" audiophonics subs under the seat, powered by an 800W audiophonics amp.. Buddy of mine is selling an Alpine IVAD300 head unit. Will this work, and will it even fit in my truck. (2005 Super Crew).. Thanks for all the help.

as long as you get the right installation kit and wiring harness you should have no problems. Should make your subs hit a lot harder if you have your rca's through a line converter now.

idk I do all my own audio work. It's really simple in these trucks maybe 100 bucks parts included.

Yes.

The shop will probably be using Metra's dash kit: 99-5802
wire harness: 70-5520
(If they are a Metra dealer)
The dash kit would have a two (2) cd pocket below it.

Here are some pics for reference:

yes it will fit. If it is a double din, meaning so big there is no room for the pocket. It will just take a different installation kit. Should be no problem for your audio shop. All cd players are one of two sizes single din(half as tall as factory radio which provides pocket) Double din (same height as factory radio) either way they should be able to hook you up.

His particular radio should be a ISO Single din, with a 7" flip-out. They shouldn't use the 95-5812 (DD).

Should fit I have a pioneer with a 7.25" screen and you will have plenty of depth. I would consider getting a door speaker amp since the RMS Wattage is only at 18w. 6x7's require quite the push if you like elevated..(above average volume#12)

will this head unit deliver more punch out of my subs? And are door speakers necessary for it to work?
