Pulls to the right and vibrates at ~40mph
Hi all, I am running into a few problems and I think I know the answer to a couple of them.
1. When driving my truck will pull to the left = Need wheel alignment (Tires should not need a rotation yet as they only have 3000 miles on them)
2. When braking my truck will vibrate and pull to the right, when stopping my left brake caliper is way hotter than the right one = My caliper is most likely sticking (I need to pull the wheel off and look at the pad wear). I think I will need to change my pads and rotors.
Now the thing I cant add up is that my truck also vibrates from 37mph to 43mph (I kicked it out of over drive to prevent it from running at low RPM -- no difference). I had my wheels balanced to make sure this was not an issue... any ideas?
Thanks,
Pete

The vibration could be a product of the need for an alignment. I'd get it aligned first and go from there.
Your braking issue could something as simple as slide pins on the calipers that need lubed.

make sure to check your rear calipers after i was fighting a pull and vib in steering wheel, i changed everything up front and rotors to boot it was a frozen pin on my rear calipers cousing all my problems, deffently check the rear while your at it. the worst part of the job was getting the slide off rotors to slide off, i broke two 2x4's getting one rotor to slide.

Had the same thing happen a year ago, replaced both front calapers, new cryoginic rotors and hawk pads, the caliper on the left got so hot that it was blued from the heat. Those slid pins have to be kept lubed and the boots that seal them should have no cracks or tears in them. That is where i made my mistake, i had done a brake job and one of the new boots was not installed correctly and started to corrode.
Good luck!
