Anyone use these "erasers" to remove vinyl pinstriping?

I found reference to these on a detailing website - just wondering how these work. They said you put them in a drill and go at it - but this guy on the site said they will NOT work in a drill - I'm thinking BS, but just wondering if anyone has real world experience.
