Power locks

To start, my power door locks went out years ago. Today I fixed the actuators in both doors (I have a 99' f150 Supercab) and the unlock button works but the lock part on both doors does not even attempt to work. Before I did the fix the lock wouldnt make any noise but the unlock button seemed like it was trying but wouldnt succeed. Could there be a fuse that went out or is it something else? Any input is greatly appreciated

Thanks for the welcome, I've actually used the site since 2007 but I was always to lazy to become a member. Seemed like I found everything I needed without having to spam the forums. Also, I'm looking into having an exhaust system installed soon. I think for my old truck (180,000+ miles) I wanted to put a single-in to dual-out. I don't want to drop a bunch of cash but I do want a product that will last and make it sound like a real truck...kinda sounds like a mini van with it stock. I appreciate any suggestions, and an estimated price would help aswell.

thanks,
Joe

The problem is not the fuse as you have power to the switches and the ulock side works. You may have a bad switch or switches. Dan.

It is possible. The only way I know of to test them is to change the switch. Driver's door switch p/n yl3z14028ab $56.00 list price, passenger's door switch p/n xl3z14028aa $55.00 list price. Check our website for your online prices. Dan.

Thank you, that was a great help. I'll make a decision on if its worth it soon. Also, if I install a keyless entry would i be able to skip installing the new switch? I'm guessing it would work even if the switch was broken, from what I understand the KE taps into the wires and has nothing to do with the actual switch
