I couldn't quite see what holds the top of the light in. Do you recall?

Right on! I just had a shop do my water pump not long ago. With the direction the economy is going I think I will be doing any work that is needed from here on out, unless it is really difficult. Therefore everything you post, I am saving for future reference.

The water pump job was the first thing I had to do when I bought my truck. The only thing difficult was getting that fan assembly off there!! Finally engineered a tie down strap and small crow bar and got it to break loose. They make a special tool for this removal, but I didn't have it and wasn't gonna wait. I kinda get that way.
