First Problem

Ran some errands this morning , while backing out of the drive way this morning yellow abs light and traction conrol light came on! 1100 miles, its been raining and pretty wet around here, one of the stops i turned the truck off and got back in and drove about a mile, did not come on that time. then after my business got back in and started it up they came on again! i believe this happened to my 02 screw too, i think they siliconed around the sensor so water could not get in and that solved the problem! have a appt monday!

More than likely it's just the weather pack. Very common.

That sucks, hopefully you get it all sorted out. Never a good feeling to have something wrong with your baby.

Anything that is built is going to have something happen,If nothing went bad we wouldn't need grease monkeys and more people on the unemployment line!

Think of it this way. A new vehicle is prolly the most complex piece of equipment that You'll EVER buy. Operating in various, often extreme, conditions.

I'd still think that both problems mentioned are nothing more than moisture getting into weather packs. Prolly didn't get greased properly, or connected fully.

Didja look under there? If You think about it, it's just a hall effects sensor. Really very basic. Not much to go wrong with them.

The Traction control monitors the speed of each wheel and uses that info to kick in.

Yep. That's the best way...get belligerent about it! 'Cause it's your Ford dealer's fault that something went wrong thousands of miles away in a factory or assembly plant. Does it make you feel better to take it out on them?

Secondly, what's the deal with you expecting the most complex model of a brand new redesign to be completely flawless? Yes, you spent a large amount of money...and that money goes towards your expensive options which just mean that there's that much more to break. And yet you still get angry that it's not 100% perfect?

If you want perfect, don't go and buy a $50k truck. Buy a stripped down Focus...you'll have better odds.
